Our Story
Petinka didn’t begin as a brand.
It began at our kitchen table — with sawdust on the floor and two curious little girls watching every step.
What started as a simple idea for our daughters slowly became something bigger.
But the heart behind it has never changed.
THE BEGINNING
It started with a simple request.
When my first daughter, Anička, was little, my wife asked me to build a learning tower for her.
Designing and creating meaningful things has always been something I truly enjoy, so I reached out to a very close friend of mine — Jozef, who is now our main designer.
Together, we began developing the first tower using a small hobby CNC machine set up in his parents’ garage.
From the very beginning, I approached it seriously.
Because it was a product for my own child, I wanted it to meet everything I expected from it.
Safety. Stability. Modularity. Thoughtful design.
We spent long hours thinking through every detail, with the goal of creating a product that would meet our own high standards.
It was never about starting a brand.
It was about creating something we could truly stand behind.
That commitment to thoughtful design and constant improvement is what continues to drive us today.

The Craft
From garage to workshop.
What began on a small hobby CNC machine slowly turned into something more.
As demand grew, we invested in better tools, better machinery, and a proper workspace.
But the mindset remained the same.
We still think through every joint.
We still test every detail.
We still design with the same standards we had in 2017.
The scale changed.
The principles did not.
Meet the Designer
Jozef
Jozef has been part of Petinka from the very beginning.
He studied Industrial Design at the Slovak University of Technology, building a strong foundation in proportions, functionality, and material thinking.
Designing meaningful products has always been natural to him. He approaches every piece with precision, curiosity, and a constant drive to refine details.
Outside the workshop, Jozef is a passionate freeride biker. That passion naturally found its way into Petinka — leading us to design and manufacture skill parks and bike ramps for children.
For him, design is not decoration.
It is balance, movement, safety, and long-term use.
And that mindset shapes every Petinka product.
Still growing.
What started with one learning tower for our daughter has grown into a collection of thoughtfully designed furniture and movement products for children.
But our approach remains the same.
We design slowly.
We build responsibly.
And we create pieces meant to last — in both quality and meaning.
Petinka was born in 2017.
It is still growing with every family that welcomes it into their home.
